gwdltherm Launches 1700℃ Electric Furnace with Integrated Refractory Solution

gwdltherm has unveiled its latest 1700℃ high-temperature electric furnace, featuring a proprietary refractory system that combines self-developed materials, multi-layer composite structure, and intelligent control. Unlike conventional furnaces using off-the-shelf components, gwdltherm’s solution is built on vertical integration and systematic optimization.

At the heart of the system is the 1800-type high-purity alumina fiber, capable of sustained operation at 1650℃ and peaks up to 1700℃. The vacuum-formed material offers ultra-low heat storage, excellent thermal shock resistance, and no cracking or spalling. To maximize insulation, gwdltherm employs a five-layer “thermal armor” design: the innermost layer uses 120mm of 1800-type lightweight microporous foam ceramic, followed by two 50mm layers of 1600-type alumina fiber board, one 50mm layer of 1400-type alumina fiber board, and finally 100mm of zirconia-containing insulation cotton. At high-wear zones like the furnace mouth and hearth, 1800-type alumina hollow sphere bricks provide added mechanical strength without sacrificing thermal performance.

gwdltherm manufactures all critical refractory components in-house, including the furnace lining, plug bricks, and setters. The company collaborates with leading research institutes to continuously refine material formulations. This vertical integration ensures consistent quality and rapid iteration. Complementing the refractory system, gwdltherm integrates a closed-loop SCR control with ±1℃ accuracy, preventing thermal shock from temperature overshoot. Multi-level protections (overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature) safeguard both refractories and heating elements, extending service life.

The result is a furnace that delivers over 80% energy savings compared to traditional brick-lined models, while maintaining stable performance under extreme conditions. gwdltherm’s 1700℃ electric furnace exemplifies how material science, structural engineering, and smart controls converge to redefine high-temperature thermal processing.
